Inside Out: The Carl Longstaff Story

Talented Canadian musician Carl Longstaff has been on a long, tough road. But after years of addiction issues and family trauma, Carl has worked his way out of the hole he put himself in.

Through interviews with Longstaff, and those closest to him, filmmaker Nathan Reimer focuses on Carl's lifelong dependency issues, and his journey to recovery. This 45-minute documentary also shines a light on the vicious cycle of generational abuse, and the importance of ending it.

I don't know if this documentary will be widely released, but I truly feel it should be part of our kids' school curriculum. First off, Nathan's work on this was exceptional. When I saw the trailer a while back I thought it could be on any streaming service right now! But holy, what a triumph in storytelling! I felt blessed and honoured to see this last night!

Carl Longstaff I’m so proud of you and what we have accomplished together. Tears of sadness and overwhelming feelings rippled the theatre tonight.

Thank you to Nathan Reimer for capturing a story that unfortunately doesn’t get told by many. And thank you to everyone who came tonight to support our wonderful journey in breaking generations of trauma abuse and cycles of addiction.
